How does FirstFit work?
Standard impressions, or digital impressions, and bite registrations are taken and sent to a FirstFit Lab. A FirstFit software designer then designs a prep for the tooth and creates a bridge or crown around the preparation. Reduction guides are then created to mirror the designed preparation. You receive these guides and the final restoration. You then use a handpiece that snaps into the guides, directing you in all apparent planes of the preparation and the guide prevents you from over-prepping the tooth. Then, as with traditional methods, you would seat the restoration.
